Dear Friends and Colleagues,
I am honoured to invite you to the 3rd International Problematic Soils
Conference is to be held in Adelaide in autumn in April 2010. Previous
conferences were held in the UK and in Malaysia. The conference is supported
by IAEG (Commission 18) and the Australian Geomechanics Society (South
Australian Chapter). Details of the Adelaide conference can be found at:

A call for abstracts is active; the deadline is 14th August with papers to
be submitted by 20th November. All papers will be refereed. Technical
papers should deal with:
. Identification of problem soils (including tailings)
. Test methods
.
Engineering geological aspects
. Avoiding distress to infrastructure
. Case studies
Opportunity also exists for Co-sponsorship, Desktop exhibition and
Advertising."
