1st Middle European Conference on Landfill Technology

Description: Landfill technology is rapidly developing in Middle Europe. Design, construction, and operation of landfills have improved significantly in the last 10 years in many countries, and other countries are challenged to improve the present situation.
This Conference will focus on the geotechnical and the energy aspects of landfills. The state of the art will be reflected, national experience in best practice as well as research activities will be shown, and international scientific approaches shall complete the frame of themes.
In Germany much practical experience and scientific knowledge has been gathered during the last 3 decades, and Hungary is one of the leading countries in the field of landfill technology and renewable energy aspects in Middle Europe.
The conference is directed to landfill experts working in research institutions, in design and construction companies, at landfill operators, and in public authorities.
(The leading author is expected to present the paper.)
